What You Need To Know About the Cost Of Getting Married
Following changes announced by the Federal Attorney General’s Dept in June 2019, the fee to Sign the Marriage Register has now been reduced.
From July 2019, the new fee to sign the Marriage Register has been reduced to $350 (plus GST) and includes the lodgement of all legal paperwork. Couples will also receive their official Commonwealth Marriage Certificate immediately following their marriage.
Your Marriage Options
Sign the Marriage Register (+ Legal Paperwork) – $350 (Ex gst)
Short Wedding Service – Sitting Room – $50 (Ex gst)
Small Wedding Ceremony – Drawing Room – $100 (Ex gst)

(Fiancé Visa Letters are also available upon request. If you have been asked to provide the Department of Immigration with a Fiancé Visa Letter to support your Prospective Marriage Visa application, this can be obtained immediately after lodging your Notice of Intended Marriage, at your first meeting with the Perth Marriage Office.)
Once all legal paperwork has been lodged (usually within two weeks after the marriage), registered copies of the Marriage Certificate can be obtained from the WA Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages or any local court-house.
The Perth Marriage Office is open 7 Days – Monday to Sunday, for legally recognised weddings in a registry office format.
